The 9th Annual NoHu ISFF Opening Night

The 9th Annual NoHu International Short Film Festival held in the City of Union City, New Jersey. Opening Night Red Carpet & Ceremony and screening of the short film "Old Abe" by Max Resto.  Live music by The James Austin Trio. Union City Commissioner of Public Affairs, Lucio Fernandez, who’s also the producer of the festival, served as MC.  The event was held at the William V. Musto Cultural Center.

Open Submissions for 2014

7th Annual NoHu International Short Film Festival in Union City

Seeking Entries for 2014

(Union City, NJ)  The City of Union City will host the Seventh Annual NoHu International Short Film Festival  to be held from October 14 - 18, 2014.

This year's five day festival will include four evenings of screening the finalists of the short film competing category; and a red carpet Awards Ceremony on the fifth day.

Submissions are being accepted in all categories. (NO pornography please.)  Films should be no longer than fifteen minutes in length. Those interested may submit their film in DVD format, along with a cover letter, synopsis, film credits, awards if any, and contact information to:

Attn: Film Entry 

Please include in the cover letter that the entry is being submitted by the property owner or licensee, and giving the City of Union City the right to publicly screen the film as part of the NoHu International Film Festival.

Please note, DVD's will not be returned.  

Entry deadline is Monday, October 6, 2014 (no exception).  No fee.  No Application form required.  Foreign language films accepted. This is a juried festival.  Please include if this is a "World Premiere", "USA Premiere", "New Jersey Premiere", or "Union City Premiere".  All entries will be considered.  Finalists will be notified via e-mail.  Please write on DVD cover contact name, email, and genre.

The Red Carpet Awards presentation for the Festival will be held on Saturday, October 18, 2014 at 7:00 PM at the William Musto Cultural Center, 420 - 15th Street in Union City, NJ.  Admission is free.
