NoHu NYC International Film Festival

The Grace Theatre Workshop, Inc. will be presenting the NoHu NYC International Film Festival @ The Tribeca Screening Room located at 375 Greenwich Street, NY, NY 10013 on Saturday, November 22, 2014 at 7:00 PM. The producers aim to make this an annual event with every year adding more screenings to the calendar.  The goal of the festival is supporting and promoting independent filmmakers with artistic vision and not necessarily high budgeted production values.

The NoHu NYC International Film Festival is a benefit for The Grace Theatre Workshop, Inc., a not-for-profit organization dedicated to bringing theatre arts education to inner-city youth. NoHu NYC will present selected films from the 7th Annual NoHu International Short Film Festival held in October 2014 in North Hudson County, NJ. Open Submissions for 2014


7th Annual NoHu International Short Film Festival in Union City
Seeking Entries for 2014

(Union City, NJ)  The City of Union City will host the Seventh Annual NoHu International Short Film Festival  to be held from October 14 - 18, 2014.

This year's five day festival will include four evenings of screening the finalists of the short film competing category; and a red carpet Awards Ceremony on the fifth day.

Submissions are being accepted in all categories. (NO pornography please.)  Films should be no longer than fifteen minutes in length. Those interested may submit their film in DVD format, along with a cover letter, synopsis, film credits, awards if any, and contact information to:

Please include in the cover letter that the entry is being submitted by the property owner or licensee, and giving the City of Union City the right to publicly screen the film as part of the NoHu International Film Festival.

Please note, DVD's will not be returned.  

Entry deadline is Monday, October 6, 2014 (no exception).  No fee.  No Application form required.  Foreign language films accepted. This is a juried festival.  Please include if this is a "World Premiere", "USA Premiere", "New Jersey Premiere", or "Union City Premiere".  All entries will be considered.  Finalists will be notified via e-mail.  Please write on DVD cover contact name, email, and genre.

The Red Carpet Awards presentation for the Festival will be held on Saturday, October 18, 2014 at 7:00 PM at the William Musto Cultural Center, 420 - 15th Street in Union City, NJ.  Admission is free.

And the Winners Are!!!



The 6th annual NoHu International Short Film Festival came to a close with a bang!!!  The five-day festival capped off with a Red Carpet and VIP Party followed by a Ceremony where the top four awards were handed out.   It was a festive evening with the William V. Musto Cultural Center full to capacity.  Everyone was decked out as DJ music played outside and a live jazz band played inside while the filmmakers and other artists enjoyed the refreshments.

6th Annual NoHu International Short Film Festival


More Exciting than ever!!!

(Union City, NJ)  The 6th Annual NoHu International Short Film Festival kicks off this Tuesday, October 15, 2013 with events held every night leading up to the awards gala on Saturday, October 19th.  This year, the festival will screen two feature films and two evenings of shorts.  The week-long festival has gained much popularity receiving over two hundred film entries from all over the world.  The festival opens on Tuesday, October 15th with a Red Carpet event, VIP Party, and screening of the feature film "Lysistrata" directed by James Thomas.  All the screenings and festivities will be held at the William V. Musto Cultural Center located at 420 - 15th Street in Union City.

5th Annual NoHu ISFF Winners

On Friday, October 19, 2012 at the William V. Musto Cultural Center in Union City, the 5th Annual NoHu International Short Film Festival came to a smashing close with a packed house for the screening of the final "Official Entries" of the four-day festival.  The elegant  "Red Carpet" event featured music by DJ Romeo and live music by "Duo Sabor Latino", as well as delicious food and refreshments.   The twelve finalists were screened, and the audience voted for the three top prizes.
